What this site is
booklasik.com, operated by Scout Theory LLC, is an information and booking-coordination service. We connect prospective patients with independent refractive surgery clinics in Colombia and help with logistics. We are not a healthcare provider, we do not employ the surgeons, and we do not perform or supervise any medical procedure.
No medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice. Candidacy, procedure choice and post-operative care are decisions between you and a licensed ophthalmologist after an in-person examination. Price ranges and timelines are published benchmarks that change; only a written clinic quote is an offer.
Your contract is with the clinic
Any surgery you book is a contract between you and the clinic. Payment, scheduling, cancellation terms, medical outcomes and any complaint are governed by the clinic's terms and Colombian law. We are not a party to that contract and are not liable for the clinic's acts or omissions.
Referral fees
Some clinics pay us a referral fee when a patient we introduced has surgery. Fees do not increase the price quoted to you. We disclose on request which clinics on your quote pay us.
Accuracy
We try to keep information current but make no warranty that it is complete or error-free. Third-party sites we link to are their own responsibility.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scout Theory LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or from any procedure booked through a clinic we introduced, including travel costs, medical outcomes or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us directly.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape the site, submit false information, or use the forms for anything other than a genuine inquiry.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute with us will be brought in the courts of Ohio.
